Little Miss A has turned one… and how she has grown! I love the Baby’s First Year Plan, as I get to watch these little people grow, from newborn to a little person.
Little Baby A was such a superstar for our shoot. She slept like a dream, she woke up for some amazing eye contact, and then went back to sleep for some more great snuggles. I love it when the parents take a little look at how I’ve posed their baby and little sighs of pleasure escape them… mom even had to snap a quick phone shot to send to dad, who couldn’t make it to the shoot.
Enjoy your teasers!
Each fall I have the pleasure of photographing a daycare in North Vancouver for a Friends and Family night. Last fall the A family was there with daughter little Miss S, and the mom expecting another bundle in the summer. It was so great to get to catch up with them again at the photogenic Deer Lake Park in Burnaby and meet the newest little sister, Miss E.
I love it when families opt for the Baby’s First Year package… it gives them a newborn session, six month session and a one year session, along with prints and digital files of each session, a gallery wrapped canvas and an album detailing the first year with their little one. (and selfishly, it lets me experience the wonder of how many changes happens in that first year).
Little Miss A was just over six months at her shoot, and I think she must have just discovered her tongue. It was so cute how she stuck it out for so many of the photos. I enjoyed our shoot, and I can’t wait to see them again in the new year to wrap up her year.
I have two sons. They are blonde, blue-eyed, and have the most amazing smiles. Most of the time, they love playing with each other, entertaining each other with games, lego, songs… and their love for each other started way before Logan (the youngest) could even talk.
I love this picture of the two of them. Ian is 3, and Logan is about 6 months old. They are sharing a moment, and looking back, I can see how strong their bond connects them.
In 2010 I did some family photos for a good friend. The light was amazing, her kids were well behaved, and it was such fun capturing their family.
From that shoot, I had one image that I loved above all the others. When the Metro News announced they were holding a Worldwide Photo Contest and one of the categories was Emotion, I knew which image I wanted to submit.
I’m proud to say that this photo placed 1st place in Canada, and went on to finish 9th out of the Worldwide competition.
