Little bundle of love – Coquitlam Newborn Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing little Miss A last week for her newborn session when she was just 9 days old.  I honestly think I might have the best job in the world, because not much compares to snuggling adorable little babies, like Miss A, capturing their smallness, their uniqueness and then getting to hand them back to their parents.  I love the little yawns, the little smiles, and all the love that I can see in the parents eyes when they bring their baby to me.

Please enjoy your teasers…

18 days new – Coquitlam Newborn Photographer

I won’t lie… I love newborn sessions best when they are done in the first two weeks after birth.  This is when babies tend to sleep the most, and are the squishiest, and usually have great skin.  Miss A came to my studio a little after the ideal time, but honestly, I would have never known.  She slept all the way through the session — even with my different bowls, buckets and stool props.  She was a dream, and I love the images that we captured of her newness.

Can’t forget some pictures with her parents…

Twice the fun, and twice the love – Twin Newborn Photographer

I don’t get twins in the studio very often, but when I do, I feel blessed.  There is such a bond between twins, it’s truly amazing to see.  It’s always more difficult when you add another tiny human into a photo session, but these two were superstars.  If one was fussing a little, I would just add the other twin next to them, and it was an almost instant settling for both of them.  I even managed to catch a moment of Mister M sucking on his sister’s nose for comfort.

I give kudos to parents of twins as well.  I always said that I wanted twins.  And then I had one baby.  And I thought to myself, “How would I manage with TWO of them at the same time?”  But twin parents just seem to have the knack for taking things in stride and making it work (and making it look easy while doing it.)

So, enjoy your precious little bundles… they won’t be so little forever.

Born into Love – Coquitlam Newborn Photographer

Little Miss E took her time getting here… our newborn session was planned out for the week prior, and yet, still no baby.  She may have taken her time coming into the world, but she has lost no time in capturing the hearts of those around her.
Miss E made me work to get her to sleep, but once she was off into dreamland I was able to get her into many different poses and props.  I am sure that some of the set ups were surprise for her mom and dad as well, since they were also able to catch up on their zzzzz’s during the session.  I love it when the parents feel comfortable enough to fall asleep during the session and catch up on some much needed rest.

Enjoy Miss E’s sneak peek!

Like a dream – Coquitlam Newborn Photographer

This sweet little girl came into the world at the start of February.  Her parents and older sister had been waiting for this day eagerly, and it was quite the celebration when she arrived.   Since they have opted for the Baby’s First Year package, I am looking forward to watching this little girl grow over the year.

Our session was so smooth… she slept like a dream, and snuggled in with her big sister for some great poses.

Here are some images from our newborn session:

2 month old cutie – Coquitlam Baby Photographer

This little guy was so full of charm.  He was such a happy guy for our session, and although I can find 2 month olds hard to predict, Mr. S was so laid back, and happy to do whatever we asked.  Put him in a basket, yep, he was okay with that.  Give him some tummy time… yep, still good!

I love capturing these moments, as in a baby’s first year they grow SO much.
